Spring Lamb Platters

Spring Lamb Platters
A sweet pair of platters exploring two unusual mythologies related to lambs…
Amaryllis -
According to legend, the amaryllis plant was named after a shepherdess who pierced her heart with a golden arrow to win her beloved’s affection, her blood giving rise to the flower. This tale positioned amaryllis as a symbol of passion and unyielding love.
The Lamb of Tartary -
The Vegetable Lamb of Tartary is a legendary medieval zoophyte of Central Asia, once believed to grow sheep as its fruit. It was believed the sheep were connected to the plant by an umbilical cord and grazed the land around the plant.
These platters are both food safe but don’t put them in the dishwasher, they can handle a vigorous hand wash!
