Please note there are no direct trains from London to Lewes on Saturday due to the derailment. This will add 30 mins onto journeys from there.

Join us at our Lewes studio from 1-5pm for a relaxing afternoon of sculpting and painting - with us guiding you through the whole process.

We will both be there for hands on help through every stage, so all abilities are welcome for this workshop. There will be plenty of time for us to help everyone as there are only 10 participants.

Design, sculpt, and decorate your own goddess candlestick with us, and we will fire, glaze and send your finished piece in the post.

The candlestick will be ready to collect/ship approximately 1 month after the date of the workshop.

All materials will be provided, as well as access to our studio kitchenette for tea and coffee. Feel free to bring your own snacks but please bear in mind your hands will be covered in clay for the majority of the workshop!

We are offering a choice of either terracotta or white clay for this workshop, the terracotta pieces will be decorated with white slip and blue cobalt oxide, the white clay will be decorated with blue cobalt oxide only.

Our ‘Goddesses’ Pinterest board‍ ‍ and our ownGoddess Candlesticks (please note we will not be adding gold to the candlesticks in this workshop) can help to get your inspiration flowing. There will be time on the day to look through our reference books, think, and draw, but having an idea before you arrive is advised.

You are welcome to make something similar to one of our examples or an existing sculpture but we will always encourage you to embrace your own creativity :)

Our address is 31 Western Road, Lewes, BN71RL. Located a 15 minute uphill walk from Lewes railway station (taxis are also available from outside the station). Lewes is just over an hour away from London by train and 15 minutes from Brighton, there is plenty to do in Lewes for a day or weekend trip! There is £1 per day car parking available a minute walk away from the studio at the county council car park. Our studio is accessible, with no steps.

This workshop will likely get your clothes a little messy! Aprons are recommended but not essential (we have a few available to borrow here at the studio).

Please make sure you, or the person you are buying for can definitely attend before purchasing. We offer refunds/swapping to another date up to 1 week before, but this creates a bit of an admin headache for us. If you can’t attend due to an emergency, we offer refunds/date swaps right up until the day of the workshop.
