The knowledgeable head gardener at the Jamaica Inn, Andre, gave an amazing tour where we got to learn about the flowers and fruits in the lush hotel gardens. Many of the plants had their own unique folkloric stories or traditional medicinal uses.

We were blown away by the beauty and colour everywhere we looked, it was a real highlight of the trip for us, so it was a no brainer to make a series of plates inspired by the flora.

The plates are made from three types of earthenware clay, decorated with a mixture of slips, underglazes and oxides.
